About this listing
Moreton Cottage is a charming 19th-century cottage in the heart of Moreton in Marsh, a thriving Cotswolds market town.
With one king size bed and a twin room, the cottage comfortably sleeps four. The cottage is full of character, with exposed beams and beautiful Cotswold stone as an internal feature, together with a delightful private garden. The cottage has been upgraded, carefully balancing original wonderful features with a contemporary feel, and furnished to a superior standard throughout
The space
Moreton Cottage was built in 1834 as a workman’s cottage for the nearby farm and manor. Moreton Manor House Hotel, just around the corner, was the original manor house in the area.
Guests enter the property into the living room, which is carefully furnished in keeping with the character of the cottage. You will find a cosy log burner in the living area, as well as comfy sofas and Smart TV.
Heading towards the rear of the cottage is the dining and kitchen space. The modern kitchen is fully equipped, including dishwasher, gas hob, microwave and coffee machine.
The kitchen leads out to the private garden, a lovely space in the summer with flowers in full bloom! The garden has a relaxed tranquil feeling, a perfect way to unwind after a long day exploring.
On the first floor of the cottage is the twin bedroom and modern family bathroom, with overhead shower. Heading up to the top floor, you will find the spacious master bedroom, with king sized bed and windows at each end of the bedroom providing views over the garden and surrounding area. Both bedrooms have blackout blinds and come with hotel quality crisp cotton sheets, fluffy towels for each guest and complementary toiletries.
As this is a traditional Cotswold cottage, there are some low beams and steep stairs, so please be careful.
Please no smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property.

Alex Palmer 16/03/2025A lovely property, and a very relaxing stay. I have returned here several times. An easy walk from the train station, with good local bus connections. Moreton has several pubs and restaurants and a supermarket options. So everything you might need is on your doorstep. A lovely log burner as well, which is lovely in winter! ... Read full reviewClose
